Miss Arkansas Valley and the Miss Johnson County Pageants were held the third weekend in July in the city of Clarksville. Maggie and Donna attended the 2 day event, which is centered around the Annual Peach Festival. Wanting to enjoy every minute of the Festival, Maggie enters the Peach Pit Spitting Contest. In a group of 12 competitors, Maggie was definately the novice of the group. To everyone’s surprise, she placed 4th Overall and was the highest ranking woman, spitting the pit 28 foot 10 inches. Her showing in this event even surpassed the reigning champion, ( a County Judge) by 10 feet. This is what legends are made of. Thank you to the wonderful people of Clarksville for making our weekend one of the best we have spent together. We hope you enjoy the pictures from our trip.
