1. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.
2. Must be a citizen of the United States.
3. Must be female, single, never married, not now pregnant and never conceived a child, and be of good character.
4. The Miss Texarkana Pageant is a closed pageant. In Texas, you must have legal residence within a 100 mile radius of Texarkana, and in Arkansas
you must be a resident of Columbia, Howard, Pike, Nevada, Sevier, Miller, Hempstead, Little River, or Lafayette counties. Contestants must be a resident of Texas for the past 6 months or a student of an
accredited Texas or Arkansas college or University for at least one full semester enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours or the maximum required for the degree plan chosen.
5. Must (1) have been at least seventeen (17) years of age at the time of the first appearance in the preliminary round of the local or state
competition that she is entering in anticipation of this year’s National Finals, and (2) be no older than twenty-four (24) years of age on September 30th of the year in which she would compete in Miss Texas the first year she holds the title, and Miss Arkansas the second year she holds the title. If a contestant meets the first age requirement and not the second, her first runner-up will represent Texarkana at Miss Arkansas, and all scholarship awards will be evenly divided by these two.
6. Competition wardrobe should include an evening gown; interview suit or dress; Swimsuit; and talent clothing appropriate to the talent. Swimsuit may
be either one piece or two-piece but no string bikini or thong.
7. Must be, on July 30th of the year in which eligible to compete, a graduate of a high school and can or will be able to produce a diploma as proof
thereof upon request or that she has or will have successfully completed the G.E.D. testing program for high school equivalency and can or will produce proof thereof upon request or have or will have
successfully completed the academic requirements for entry into a four year college/degree program.
8. Upon completion of the most recent Miss USA or Teen USA State or National Pageant (for example: Miss Texas USA that was held in Laredo in July 2005,
or Miss Texas Teen USA held over Thanksgiving Weekend in Houston in November 2005), and she meets the other eligibility requirements to compete in a Miss Texas local pageant, then she may compete in our 2006 Miss Texas local pageants
9. If you held a Miss America local title during the 2006 pageant season and either resigned your title or lost your title for some reason, you may not be eligible to compete in
a Miss America local pageant again until the 2008 pageant season. Please contact the director prior to entering.
